About the Author
Sally Beare, dip BCNH, CNHC, is a nutritional therapist and author who trained at the UK College of Nutrition and Health in London (BCNH). She lives and works in Bristol where she sees clients, runs healthy-eating programmes and gives nutrition workshops in schools. She has also lectured on anti-ageing at BCNH. Sally has travelled all over the world in her quest to discover the eating and living habits of ultra-healthy, long lived populations. Sally is the author of 50 Secrets of the World’s Longest-Living People (Avalon, US, 2006) and The Live-Longer Diet, (Piatkus, UK, 2003). Her books have been widely acclaimed and translated into many different languages worldwide. The Stacking Plan is her third book.

so good. I haven't finished it yet

So far, so good. I haven't finished it yet, but it has definitely proven so far to be a very helpful resource. Sally is introducing a way to change your diet that I've never previously heard of before, but it makes sense. When you focus on adding healthy foods instead of subtracting junk food, the healthy food has a way of taking over since your body starts to crave it more.

I did the stacking plan as one of the authors volunteers, I have lost 2 stone, feel fitter, healthier and more energised

Six months on from starting this new eating plan I have lost 2 stone. Before starting I was struggling with my weight despite the fact that I was quite an active person. I was worried about my health, weight and high cholestrol. This plan gives you really simple steps to follow and straight forward approach to what you should be eating, the changes build on each other so it never feels overwhelming (like many diets can) and never feels like you are having to make sacricifies that leave you feeling hungry and unsatisfied. There is loads of really interesting and detailed nutiritional information that provide the underlying justification for the changes that are being made but also when you just need to know what the right thing is to do there is simple quidance on what should be on your plate this week. The changes I have made have given me the control over what I eat for the long term, I feel fitter, healthy and more energised.

First DIet Book That has EVER worked for me

At last, after many years of trying and failing to stick to healthy eating plans, I have found a way which works for me, and that’s The Stacking Plan. Like many people I struggle with the idea of having to go without or giving things up, so what I love about this book is that I can take things on instead. The introductory part of the book was clear and entertaining; it also persuaded me that making sure I get the right nutrients is just what I need at this time in my life where I am no longer young but not yet old. I also like to keep fit, so getting nutrients to give me stamina is important for me. I have now done Breakfast Week and am really enjoying adding MORE things to my breakfast - I’ve also really noticed how this stops me from having cravings later. I can honestly say that I am really looking forward to doing the rest of the plan
