Great, Comprehensive Book on Libertarianism

Few books are as approachable as Roadmap to Liberty. The author usually starts with describing a current ill (with great facts and an objective voice), before making more subjective policy suggestions. He always suggests a number of corrective policies (from moderate to extreme). And while I generally support the more moderate ones (e.g., school vouchers, voluntary opt-out of state-pension and health care systems), I am more critical of the more extreme proposals (e.g., total privatization of police, fire fighting services etc.).
On a fair note, this is what differentiates Roadmap to Liberty from other books: the book is not obsessed with one way of doing things, but full of objective analysis AND a variety of workable policy suggestions.

Worth a Read for the Great Factual Content Alone

If you love free markets, you will love Roadmap to Liberty. The book is full of practical solutions for rectifying today’s financial messes from underfunded social security to record-level incarceration.

Nonetheless, in my opinion, the book is worth reading for its factual analysis of the world’s problems alone. There are dozens of charts explaining everything from religion to types of income taxes (progressive, regressive, proportional) and the global practice of conscription. There are many rarely known insights on basically every political issue. One of the most informative (and thought-provoking) reads I had in along time.

Funny and educational

Great material for easy review. Very comprehensive refresher. The lady is hilarious! I haven't taken the exam yet but I feel very educated. The other nurses at work keep referring to me as the walking enclopedia and go to for any nursing/medical questions.

Amazing!

Laura is super smart, and hilarious. All I used (and I passed first time) were these CDs, and the practice question book. She makes learning fun, has fun ways that the learning will not leave your head. Several items she said were on the exam, were on the exam. Listen to these, its a breeze!

Tells you what you need to know

This audio cd goes system by system to tell you what you need to know for the CCRN exam. The Pass CCRN book is way to detailed, but this gives you the important topics to study and know. She is very funny, and I saw questions on the text that were right out of her mouth. Worth every penny.

About the Author
The Rev. Father Martin of Cochem, O.S.F.C., was a German Capuchin born in 1630 at Mosel. He entered the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin as a novitiate while still young, subsequently received Holy Orders, and was ultimately assigned as a professor of theology. He also cared for the plague victims of 1666, and thereupon began composing popular religious writings and treatises. Father Cochem authored such works as The Last Four Things and The Incredible Catholic Mass, the former of which was printed by TAN in 1987. He died on the tenth of September, 1712, at Waghausel.

The best book on the Roman Catholic Mass that I have ever read

A friend at my men's study group recommended this book to me. Written in the 17th century as a defense of the Catholic Church in response to the Protestant Reformation, Fr. Cochem explains the Mass in exacting detail. It is not an easy read, having been written over 300 years ago and translated from German. Now on my second reading of the book, I am amazed at how much I have learned about the Mass, and regret that I didn't read it when I was younger. Highly recommended.

In my opinion, this book should be ranked 2nd in importance after the Bible. This book is for all Christians that celebrate the Holy Eucharist and believe in the Real Presence, not only Roman Catholic (but also Eastern Orthodox, Eastern Catholic, and Oriental Orthodox believers). This book had a big impact on my life and how to view the mass in a proper way.

The book goes into details about the mass, priest vestments, church, how to offer the mass in the right way, when to pray during mass, the fruits and graces obtained from the mass and the infinite value the mass holds.
The mass is indeed incredible and so is this book.
A must have for all Catholic and Orthodox believers!

If you buy only one book, let this be it!

I absolutely love this book!!! It gives the most beautiful description of the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass I have ever seen. There are so many things I want to remember as I am at Mass.
I only wish I had a photographic memory. In the 'Forward' it says that you will want to read it again,
and you find that's true. It's also the best book for Eucharistic Adoration. I gave copies to all my friends.
I just can't say enough positive comments about it. Do not deny yourself this treasure.

A Great Classic

This is a classic in stochastic processes. It is targeted to those who will use the material in practice and it is not a theoretical text. It has excellent material on martingales, Poisson Processes, Wiener processes, and the like. It is dated and I had used it when it first came out. It is useful for anyone working in the area. If one is doing research in the mathematical areas this is not the book for you. This is quite useful for those in engineering, controls and communications, and others areas using random process theory. It covers the basics.

A well-written classic introduction to stochastic theory

The math which goes into stochastic theory is key and fundamental; this book is a very readable introduction to the material. Where most books just have the equations (and typically in the tersest form possible), this book makes an effort to explain what is going on "in words" and through some examples.

If you are in a class or working with material where a firm understanding of stochastic theory is necessary, this is a good book to help you get up to speed. This is definitely not an advanced-level book or completely up-to-date, but the basics haven't changed. If you can find it used, it is cheap, too.
