By Far the Best Comprehensive Course for Learning Albanian

In my opinion, this is by far the best available Albanian language learning book and audio combination. The second best is Spoken Albanian by Leonard Newmark. In addition, you will find Newmark's very comprehensive Albanian dictionary available free online at https://www.seelrc.org:8443/albdict/
Zymberi's book is considered a standard by many teachers and has been used at Arizona State for advanced classes and in Kosovo for the annual Albanian Seminar. There are many free materials from the US Government, including Albanian readings compiled by Newmark. Zymberi's book is also superior to audio language courses which give you words but do not immerse you in the complex grammar which is required to speak even simple sentences. I would like to thank Isa Zymberi for his considerable understanding of the needs of the English speaker and his knowledge of what is most confusing to English speakers trying to learn Albanian. Some more recent authors of Albanian texts don't actually speak English fluently enough to understand what the English learner needs.
